This course provides an overview of bidding in response to requests for proposals (RFP).  The importance of accuracy, thoroughness, completeness and ethics is emphasized and explained.  The elements of the bid proposal, including the estimate, the bid documents, legal requirements and more are discussed.  The use of estimating tools to speed the estimating process and improve accuracy are included.  Case histories of failed jobs that resulted from unforeseen circumstances and lack of planning and care are included along with a brief discourse on ethics.
