Florida PE 2024-2025 - Laws & Rules (1 credit hours)
This 1 hour course is designed to meet the Florida Board of Professional Engineers continuing education requirement that a minimum of 1 PDH per renewal period must be devoted to study of recent changes (that affect engineering practice) in:
 
Chapter 61G15 of the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C), “Board of Professional Engineers Organization & Purpose”
 
Chapter 455 of Title XXXII of the Florida Statutes – “Business and Professional Regulation: General Provisions”
 
Chapter 471 of Title XXXII of the Florida Statutes - “Engineering”
 
The course is for the current biennial cycle, 2023-2025 (renewal date of February 28, 2025). The changes described in the course went into effect during the immediately preceding biennium cycle, 2019-2021. Examples of recent disciplinary actions taken by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers are also included.

After successfully completing this course Titan Continuing Education will report this credit hour to the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.

  • Participants will be able to describe the purpose and organization of the Structural Engineering Recognition Program.
  • Participants will be able to state in general terms the range of disciplinary guidelines from which disciplinary penalties will be imposed on practitioners guilty of violating Chapters 455 or 471, F.S. or rules promulgated under these statutes. 
  • Participants will be able to acknowledge that the costs of investigation and prosecution related to a disciplinary case will be borne by the licensee.
  • Participants will be able to describe when a Notice of Noncompliance is appropriately issued.
