Course Description
The Florida construction industry is regulated by an extensive system of laws and rules. The Statutes are organized by subject area into various 'titles', one of which, Title XXXII, Regulation of Professions and Occupations, contains two chapters of special interest to licensed contractors: 1) Chapter 455 - Business and Professional Regulation: General Provisions and 2) Chapter 489 - Contracting, Part I, which deals with matters of concern primarily to licensed contractors.  This course will explore excerpts from these chapters as well as 61G4 of the Florida Administrative Code and describe how they govern the construction industry.
