This course is an overview of the basics of electrical wiring methods and materials.  This lesson includes wiring of residential and commercial buildings, and the methods and materials used to provide a proper and safe installation.    Every electrical contractor needs to know the methods and materials used in the trade.   Being able to install the wiring for electrical construction and remodeling requires understanding basic wiring terminology and correctly identifying the most common types of wire and cable.  This knowledge is essential when choosing wiring for new construction and remodeling projects and when investigating wiring problems.
