The student will gain an understanding of different types of construction claims.

 

The student will be able to identify examples of construction claims including construction defect, schedule delay, changes, disruption/productivity loss and standard of care.

 

The student will understand how to process a claim in accordance with the contract. 

 

The student will be able to identify the federal claim FAR requirements.

 

The student will learn about best practices in claim prevention.

 

The student will be able to identify methods to reduction the likelihood and/or value of a construction claim.

 

The student will understand how to execute the preparation of a successful construction claim.
