The student will have knowledge of the basic definition of management and supervision.
The student will have knowledge of the four functions of management – planning, organizing, leading and controlling.
The student will have knowledge of the components of the planning function including establishing goals, developing strategy, and managing change.
The student will have knowledge of the components of the organizing function including organizational structure, human resources, and team building and management.
The student will have knowledge of the components of the leading function including leadership models, decision making and problem solving, motivation, counseling, and discipline.
The student will have knowledge of the components of the controlling function including organization standards and ethics, compliance, quality control, and protecting sensitive information.
